Parents
We believe that education is a partnership between the school and families. We value the important role parents play in supporting their children’s learning and growth, and we are committed to building strong, open relationships with our school community. Through regular communication, parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and school events, we ensure that parents are informed, involved, and empowered to be active participants in their child’s educational journey.

Safety First
Your child’s safety is our highest priority at Bassmati. We are fully committed to providing a secure and caring environment where every student feels safe, supported, and protected. To ensure this, we have a comprehensive and well-structured emergency response plan in place that covers a wide range of situations, including fire drills, lockdown procedures, medical emergencies, and natural disasters. Our staff members are thoroughly trained in safety protocols and first aid, and we conduct regular safety drills and training sessions with our students throughout the year.

Arriving and leaving school
The students should arrive at 7:30 am there will always be someone to receive the children. School finishes at 2:00 pm and parents should ensure to pick up their child at 2:00 pm.

School Menu
We promote healthy eating habits and kindly ask parents to avoid sending unhealthy food items with their children. This includes soft drinks, flavored milk, juices, chocolates, candies, chewing gum, chips, and industrially processed cakes, as these are not permitted at school. Instead, we encourage nutritious alternatives in lunch boxes such as sandwiches, fruits and vegetables, eggs, raisins, nuts, and similar wholesome snacks. Please also ensure that your child always brings a water bottle to school. An exception to the healthy food policy is made when a child wishes to celebrate his or her birthday on such occasions, bringing a cake to share with classmates is welcome; however, we ask that no soft drinks be included. Additionally, Wednesday is the only day when children are allowed a small treat, often referred to as a "cheating day."

Holidays & Absence
Parents will be notified in advance about public holidays. If your child is absent from school, please make sure to contact the school to inform us of the absence. In cases where the absence extends beyond two consecutive days, the class teacher will reach out to the parent to provide support for the child’s ongoing education. For prolonged absences due to travel, family obligations, or illness, we kindly ask that you inform the school in advance so that a plan can be developed to ensure continuous learning and support during the time away.

Anti-bullying policy
We have inclusiveness as a core value and do not tolerate bullying or any form of discrimination. Teachers actively monitor the well-being of all children, including their social interactions, and work proactively to prevent bullying. This year, we have also incorporated a new behaviour policy, which includes a clear yellow and red card system to help guide and manage behaviour in a fair and transparent way. If you become aware that your child is being bullied or discriminated against in any manner, whether by other children or by school staff, please inform the school management immediately. We will take prompt action in coordination with you as a parent to address and resolve the situation.
